The first convocation of Akal University was a great success.

The event was presided over by Dr. Davinder Singh, who is the Chancellor of Akal University and the Chief Guest was Dr. Harmohinder Singh, the Chancellor of Central University H.P.

After the formal opening ceremony, which included a recitation of the Shabad by students from the university, Prof. Gurmail Singh presented achievements made by students at all India levels.

Dr. Harmohinder Singh spoke about the importance of value-based education in today’s world, and he lauded Akal university for its academic excellence and for adopting NEP 2020.

Dr. Davinder Singh urged students to reap the most out of their education and work for common causes and upliftment of society.

A total of 510 degrees were awarded to graduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. holders, as well as medals to toppers and meritorious students. During the closing ceremony, Major General G S Lamba congratulated the participants before playing the National Anthem.
