National Dengue Day

On May 16, 2022, in the rural villages of Macheer, Lana Bhalta, and Bongalikech, Akal College of Health and Allied Sciences, alongside dedicated faculty and enthusiastic B.Sc.(N) 2nd Year students, took a significant step in the fight against Dengue. Our National Dengue Day event was a resounding success, with a dual focus on Dengue source reduction and health awareness.

This event brought the community together, actively participating in source reduction efforts, thereby contributing to the reduction of Dengue transmission. The impact was palpable as doubts and questions raised by the public were comprehensively addressed, leading to a deeper understanding of Dengue prevention and control.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Kalgidhar Trust for their unwavering support and collaboration, which made this program possible. Their commitment to our shared goal of promoting good health and well-being within our community is deeply cherished.

The National Dengue Day event organized by Akal College of Health and Allied Sciences was a significant stride toward realizing Sustainable Development Goal 3. It not only educated and engaged the community but also translated into tangible actions for Dengue source reduction. Our dedication remains steadfast, and we invite you to join us in our ongoing efforts to combat Dengue and create a healthier and safer environment for all. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our community’s well-being.
